Seven programs, one migration journey.

What we do

Each MRPO program addresses a distinct point in a migrant’s journey — from the information gap before departure to the support a returnee needs to rebuild. Together, they form a single response to a single problem.

The migration problem

Why we work the way we do.

The full framework behind our program design — from the problem on the ground to MRPO’s response.

01
Problem
Lack of reliable pre-migration information, unsafe and irregular migration, trafficking, unpaid wages, contract substitution, confiscation of documents, violence and discrimination, limited access to justice, and ongoing challenges for returnees.
02
Affected
Migrant workers, prospective migrants, returnees, and other vulnerable migrants — particularly women and young people.
03
Consequences
Exploitation, abuse, discrimination, and limited access to justice or protection when something goes wrong.
04
The gap
Weak awareness of the referral and protection mechanisms that already exist — migrants often don’t know where to turn, even when help is available.
05
Our response
Rights awareness, protection, advocacy, referral, capacity building, and community-based support — the seven programs below.
Priority programs

Seven programs, built around the framework above.

01
Migrant Rights Awareness
Rights education and accessible information for migrants and prospective migrants, delivered in the languages and formats communities actually use.
02
Safe Migration
Awareness and prevention work focused on unsafe and irregular migration channels, helping prospective migrants recognize risk before they travel.
03
Migrant Worker Protection
Promoting fair treatment, decent work, and protection from exploitation for migrant workers throughout their employment.
04
Legal Information & Referral
Rights information and referral to the appropriate legal, protection, and social institutions and services.
05
Anti-Trafficking & Anti-Exploitation
Prevention, awareness, documentation, referral, and advocacy against trafficking and exploitation.
06
Returnee & Vulnerable Migrant Support
Community-based support and referral for returnee migrants and other vulnerable individuals rebuilding their lives.
07
Research & Advocacy
Research, documentation, policy analysis, and evidence-based advocacy that keeps migrant rights on the policy agenda.
